The Level 1 Trauma Center here treated President Reagan and members of his staff in 1981 when they were shot. It has also made the news for treating Vice President Dick Cheney's heart condition. Services offered include Critical Care Medicine, dermatology, emergency services, Hyperbaric Medicine program, pulmonology/allergy services, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatric services, and radiology services. There is also a Pain Management Center, Childbirth Center, Breast Care Center, Sleep center, Stroke Unit, Radiation Oncology and Biophysics in the George Washington University Hospital.
