Where To Stay
Thousands of travelers descend upon Salt Lake City every day. Most already have a good idea of whether they will be sleeping under the covers at a plush hotel, or making their bed under a blanket of stars. The supply of comfortable rooms in Salt Lake City's high-rise hotels is ample, and is complemented by the many camping spots on the skirts of the city. If you are looking for a room with a view, level ground to pitch a tent or anything in-between, you will likely find it in Salt Lake City.
City Center
Of the many hotels that compose the Salt Lake City skyline, perhaps there are none embedded into the fabric of the city deeper than Little America Hotel and Towers. The 850 rooms at this local favorite are comfortably spacious. Little America is the largest hotel in Utah. However, if you want a more intimate lodging stay at the historical Armstrong Mansion or the Saltair Bed and Breakfast.
For the traveler who places a high price on convenience, the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown is hotel gold. It is connected to a 145-store shopping mall across the street from the Salt Palace Convention Center, just half a block from Temple Square and two blocks from the Energy Solutions Arena. The Hilton Salt Lake City will try its best to keep you inside with its restaurants, business and fitness centers. If you are looking to pack lighter you should be aware that the Radisson Hotel stocks just about everything you'll need during your stay. For those looking for comfort and convenience, Carlton Hotel has your room waiting.
Downtown
The downtown area is filled with quality hotels. The Courtyard Salt Lake City Downtown is designed for the business traveler, but all guests will love the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The new luxurious hotel Grand America has all the comforts of home. For a less expensive option the Westcoast Hotel provides a great deal. Enjoy the French deco ambiance of the Hotel Monaco where the location is great.
Airport Area
If you have an extended lay over from Salt Lake International Airport, or perhaps just like to stay as close to the airport as possible, there are several lodges a scant mile away at International Center. Here you will find the Salt Lake Airport Hilton, the Hampton Inn & Suites SLC Airport Hotel and the Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Airport. You can catch a taxi or shuttle at the airport and be checked in within minutes. If you do decide to go out on the town, downtown Salt Lake City lies 10 minutes east.
